MakeCity Berlin
For MakeCity Berlin, Refunc developed an exhibition system from discarded schoolboards, collaborating with Superuse Studios and Buro SLA. The boards’ existing chalk surface shifts from educational tool to project documentation system, displaying collective circular economy work through direct chalk illustrations. The modular green panels create an angular exhibition architecture, where each board functions simultaneously as structure and communication medium. The installation employs the material’s inherent drawing functionality rather than imposing new surface treatments, allowing visitors to navigate through chalk-rendered case studies of industrial material transformation and collaborative urban reuse strategies.
