Cascoland is a research and art project initiated by Fiona de Bell and Roel Schoenmakers that involves international artists, architects, designers, performers, craftspeople and ‘urban communities’. Cascoland initiates projects in public space to create awareness of urban issues in a positive and creative framework and to mobilize local residents, artists & initiatives to participate in this process. Public space is temporarily activated through artistic interventions, the construction of architectural objects, research into the use of public space and audience participation.
