2012 Architects and REFUNC together designed and build the interior of MANIFESTA 9, the European biennal of contemporary art 2012 in Genk, Belgium
A serious amount of local waste materials, researched by 2012 architects, combined with the functional desires of Manifesta were starting points for the desig and the onsite improvisation.
Waste materials ranging from car parts of the local Ford plant, through pallets and advertisement materials to IBC water tanks were used
Several teams worked on different design-solutions and created a whole from all fragments and zones.
